We’re a family business

(whether our kids like it or not).

With backgrounds in music and writing, a wine business may seem an unusual choice for Matt and Sundee. Wine and the arts have quite a bit in common, however, as painstaking work (some of it technical and tedious) yields an enchanting, mysterious, and even transporting result. Music, stories, wine, and other forms of art help us all access more beauty and truth every day. They also inspire us to live better by focusing our attention on the best of what we all share and by breaking down the boundaries between us. 

Early on, this wine experiment was Matt’s passion project, but it became a family business fairly quickly. Sundee elevated her wine knowledge and started pouring at wine walks and other events as we got busier. Our daughters even get involved with proper work now and then. You'll almost certainly meet one of us when you stop in to our tasting room in Renton.

We do more than make and sell wine, however. In addition to Sundee’s work as an educator and writer plus our daughters’ social and educational pursuits, we’re also all musicians. In addition to our individual musical interests, we also make music videos together now and then to celebrate our shared love of music and each other. We hope you enjoy them as much as you do our wine.
